TEND, GUARD, AND KEEP YOUR GARDEN

And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it.

gENESIS 2:15

You are aware that you are going to work while you are here on the earth. Sitting around and looking at your circumstances is not the way to prosper.

God instructed Adam to take care of the things around him. He was to tend, and to guard and to keep the garden.

Tend – to take care of, watch, and keep.

Guard – preserve, safeguard, shield.

Keep – maintain, mind, and observe.

That was Adam and Eve’s part in taking care of what God had given them. It applies today to our walk in this life also, we are to tend, guard, keep and protect all that God has given us.

Not only does God give us spiritual blessings, but he also blesses our natural lives too. He gives us freely amazing thing to enjoy and to share with others. We are not to take these blessings for granted but to have a heart of thankfulness and appreciation for all that He has given, and continues to give us.

If you give someone a gift and they hide it away, or let it lie out in the garden, what would you think of them?

God is going to put you in a place of blessing. Be wise in how you handle it when it comes – don’t abuse it or misuse it.
