STAY OCCUPIED

She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat

PROVERBS 31:27

Idle hands get into a lot of trouble!

What a JOY it is to have a life that is filled with the blessings of the Lord. To manage an organized home, a husband and children needing attention, your boss constantly calling you on the phone, and the neighbor knocking on the door wanting you to help them take their kitten to the vet!!  Wow…

As they say, “A woman’s day is NEVER done”!

I think of my own mom who worked a full time job for most of her life. She would come home after a full day’s work, prepare the family evening meal, help me with my homework and my brother’s with his upcoming test, while catching up with my dad’s daily news and she would be busy knitting me a sweater! How blessed I am to have had her as my example.

Being occupied is not something to complain about, but something to be blessed about! God promises that He will bless the work of your hands.  I have always thanked the Lord for that blessing, and seen it manifest over and over again in my life!

When you are idle and have nothing to occupy your mind, you will get into trouble. You will end up having conversations that you will be sorry for down the road, and doing things that bring condemnation in your heart.

It is a blessing to be productive, needed, satisfied and appreciated in this life.
