While dealing with people over the years, there have been times when I needed to almost be brutally honest with them, to help them. Even though it was painful at the time, it yielded to peace as they reflected on what they had heard.
The Holy Spirit is called ‘The Spirit Of Truth’! It is his leading and his assignment to bring you to TRUTH in all that you do. God never wants you to be in a place of deception or to believe a lie!
TRUTH is amazing as the Bible promises that when you hear it and receive it, it will make you free! A lie is endless in confusion and never comes to a positive end, as it cannot stand the test of time!
Personally, I would rather hear the truth about a situation than have it ignored. I have challenged myself over the years to tell the truth in all circumstances and to know that there are no small or big lies.
If what you are going to answer and telling it all could be a problem, don’t tell it all, just say what needs to be said in truth, and be quiet about the rest, then you won’t be responsible for a lie!
It is wrong for you to encourage your children to lie for you by telling folks on the telephone that you are not at home or in the bath, when you are not! Rather say that you will call back later. Guard your tongue and speak the truth in love – remember, you will reap from what you sow.
