For he was [waiting expectantly and confidently] looking forward to the city which has fixed and firm foundations, whose Architect and Builder is God.

Put your feet on solid ground. That’s where God wants you standing; on a fixed and firm foundation. He does not want you distracted by nonsense. Focus your attention on Him and concentrate and be absorbed by the things of the Lord. They are life to your soul and healing to your flesh.

When I have so many things going on in my own life, I try my best to pray in the Spirit and meditate on the Word of God. It always amazes me how powerful just a few minutes in the presence of the Lord is able to refresh my soul.

The Lord knows what just a few moments in His presence will do for you. He continually invites you in to get your confidence and strength built up. He asks you to come. The temptations will come to entertain and amuse you, but that is why your faith in God has to be firmly rooted.

If you are starting a new venture, get confirmation and utter assurance from the Lord. Know in your heart that it is His desire for you, and then walk in that confidence. God is with you and He will keep your foundation solid. No matter how difficult the task – see it through to completion.

I pray that your life will be founded, grounded and firmly planted on the Lord Jesus Christ.
