For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.

We must understand that the miracle of the cross is foolishness to the world.

I have been mocked for my commitment to the Lord! I have been called old fashioned, a puritan and one who has no idea of the ‘wild’ side.

In my heart I find myself saying: “Lord, help them to understand,” and then love overrides their foolishness. I don’t try and convince them of anything, but I allow my actions to determine their decisions!

I have learned that your life and not only your words, is the strongest testimony that you have. Words speak, but your lifestyle speaks louder!

Before too long these precious people are asking me what I think about certain things, and where they should go to visit a church!  Their mocking is a sign of their hunger for truth.

There must be no animosity for those who do not know the power that lies in the cross; they are blinded and cannot see.

This is true of friends and family members. They have lived close to you for many years, and your “born anew” experience is confusing to them. Let them see your fruit. Let Christ live BIG in you and through you, to all those who are watching on the sidelines!

You will be persecuted for the Word’s sake, but God is on your side and He will not be mocked.
