The work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is); for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the character and worth of the work each person has done.

It’s a pleasure to give my life in the service to the Lord. Nothing is more important! Wasting precious time with trivial things that keep you tied down and frustrated is disastrous.

I count my time serving the Lord as the most valuable thing I can do and it is my reasonable service. I also love my family and everything that I do for them is precious, but what I do for the Lord carries eternal weight and glory. What are you doing for the Lord?

To add to the encouragement, you are to do your best for Him. We expect His best, so we must give of our best. Our God is an excellent God and He deserves more than just your average!

If you are not sure where to start, begin by helping others. You could ask your Pastor where you could serve with your gifting. As you begin to sow as an act of your worship, you will reap so much fulfilment, joy and happiness. Serving the Lord will bring other things in your life into alignment.

You do not have to be full-time for God unless He calls you, but then give Him your love and your worship, and find a place where you can serve Him and others.

Your secular job is a blessing but has no eternal value. Working for God is immeasurable.
