I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith. [As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor’s] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day – and not to me only, but to all those who have loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return).

2 TIMOTHY 4: 7-8

What kind of battle are you in? Are you using all the available tools God has given you, enabling you to win the fight and come out on top for God?

Life is like a marathon, there are many hills to climb, valleys to pass through and long stretches of highway to maintain. With full direction from the Lord, with your heart fixed on the vision for your life, you will say in the end, “I have finished the fight, fought a good fight, I have won the race.”

There are many rewards in heaven and many rewards to be gained here on earth. Having God’s favor will take your further than you could go naturally. His hand on your life gives you the edge. You can live right and do right; that is what living for God is all about. Get on with the race. Overcome the challenges and fight till you win.

Nothing can stop you loving and serving God and looking forward to Jesus’ return. He is coming soon.
