Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange (unusual and alien to you and your position) were befalling you.
1 PETER 4:12
If you are going through a tremendous storm at the moment, then rejoice, because you are going to come out great on the other side.
Christians think that they are not going to face one problem or challenge from the moment that they give their lives to Jesus. That cannot possibly be true, just look at what the disciples went through. We are living in different times but the pressures are similar. You live in a very real world. You will have to be strong, and know who your God is, to be able to live your life successfully in the Lord.
The difference in knowing the Lord is that when the storm comes, you know what to do.
We all face a “fiery ordeal”, but we walk through it just like we walk through the valley of the shadow of death. God is on your side, fighting with you. The battle will make you stronger, and if it is a war then hold tight and never let go of what you know belongs to you in Jesus.
When the fiery ordeal comes, brace up, and put on your armor. Remember, the battle is the Lord’s, but the victory belongs to you.
