He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah’s [deadened] womb.

Abraham’s circumstances looked totally bleak. He was going to make Sarah pregnant and he was 100 years old! Now how would you have been under those circumstances?

Abraham used the circumstances for an even greater miracle for the Lord to perform in his life. He not only had to believe for a miracle in his life, but a mighty miracle in Sarah’s life too as she was 90 years old and well passed the time of child-bearing.

This amazing miracle made Abraham a mighty man of God. It was the fight that made him strong and the victory that made him even stronger.

Don’t run away from a challenge that comes your way. Be like Abraham and take the promises of God and stand on them until they manifest in your life. As long as you are obedient and do your part of the covenant, God’s promises belong to you.

Nothing moved Abraham and nothing should move you but the Word of God. Circumstances are subject to the Word of God.
