So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).

ROMANS 10:17

Over the years I have heard faith described as many different things. One description was that when you were asked what faith you were you answered “Anglican”.

Faith is not a denomination; it is not a type of Christianity or a part of your belief. Faith is what being a Christian is. It is what God calls us to live by; every moment of the day wherever we are, whatever we are doing.

How do you get your faith to grow? Certainly not by watching Christian programs on television, or by being raised by lovely Christian parents. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Now, if your church preaches the Word of God, then you definitely will get enough food to help grow your faith.

Not all churches preach the Word of God. Some spend much time talking about politics; others criticize other denominations, then there are those who talk about poetry, flowers and rumbling skies and nobody can grow on that, and be strong enough to have victory over the devil.

“Desire the sincere milk of the Word that you may GROW thereby” – 1 Peter 1:2

Get into a church where you can feel your spirit growing. Where you will be challenged to get your life in godly order and where you can serve the Lord.
