Blessed (happy, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather.

pSALM 1:1

Sinners are always ready to give advice to everyone, and if you do not want to get the wrong advice, then whatever you do, do not ask them for help. It would be like going to a bad insurance sales man and asking them to train you to sell insurance? You go to the best to become the best!

Asking advice about spiritual things from a non-believer is very foolish. Because their spirit has not been made brand new by the power of God, their thinking will not come from a righteous point of view.

The Lord says that you are blessed, happy and enviable if you do not get your counsel from anyone but Him. He is the greatest counsellor and has been around for a very long time. Nobody understands your situation like He does and with His advice you will get the most dynamic results in your circumstance.

You are also blessed, happy and enviable when you do not submit yourself and play an inactive part when you are around sinners, or sit down and relax in the presence of people who will mock and jeer at your God. Ask God for Wisdom and if you need any extra help, speak to your Pastor or a fellow believer.
