Clothe yourselves therefore, as God’s own chosen ones (His own picked representatives), [who are] purified and holy and well-beloved [by God Himself, by putting on behavior marked by] tenderhearted pity and mercy, kind feeling, a lowly opinion of yourselves, gentle ways [and] patience [which is tireless and long suffering, and has the power to endure whatever comes, with good temper].

From the moment you get out of your bed today, think about the One Who has done so much for you. He loves you more than you realise and has placed His divine favor upon your life.

You are chosen of God – His elect. Dress like His elect, with attitude and character; not in pride but in the knowledge of He Who died for you. Behave as one who is called of God and submitted to God. Be tenderhearted, kind, merciful, gentle and patient. Let Him teach you all these things and use the opportunity to learn and grow in Him. Search your heart and live a life that is pure.

You are a living, walking and breathing epistle; an open book for all to read. What story are they reading? Is it a wild novel or a true story of faith and love?

Being called “elect of God” and “chosen of God” is a very humbling thought, especially when you realise that without Him you are nothing and would be nothing.
